Brian Alcorn is a professional referral trainer and coach. His background as a licensed professional engineer, IESNA International Illumination Design Award of Merit recipient, and experience as a principal in a consulting engineering firm has given him a unique perspective on developing business by relationship in the field of engineering and construction. He is a franchise owner with Referral Institute and an executive director with Business Network International (BNI). Brian Alcorn writes the Consulting-Specifying Engineer blog "Networking Advantage," and is also a contributing author to the book Masters of Success by Ivan R. Misner, PhD and Don Morgan, MA.
Learning objectives:
1. Attendees will learn about how to improve networking results by being more strategic about business relationship development.
2. Attendees will learn about producing a high rate of return on business networking activities by developing deeper relationships, rather than broader relationships.
