A. O. Smith

Water Products Co. is the first in the water heater

industry to offer specifying engineers and architects complete access to 3-D

BIM of its commercial water heater and boiler products with Autodesk Revit software. By visiting the company's website, specifying engineers can download

the 3-D Revit models to be inserted into their building model or drawings.


Each Revit

product family file allows the selection of the individual model and its associated

database of critical installation information. Now, specifying engineers can

easily integrate an A. O. Smith product into their building designs. Future

plans include making the A. O. Smith files available from the Autodesk "Seek

Site" where product models can be directly accessed from within the Revit




models are currently available for the Cyclone Xi (BTH), VF Boiler (VW / VB),

Master-Fit (BTR), and the Gold Series (DRE) product families. Engineers simply

open the file on the website, and then choose the model they want to specify.
