Ryan T. Smith, PE, has been named Dallas office manager for Alpharetta, Ga.-based infrastructure engineering company MACTEC . Smith joined the company in 2002, most recently serving as senior engineer on the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge project.

Newburyport, Mass.-based Ferraz Shawmut has named Fred Rampone vice president of distributor sales, and Stephen Reynolds vice president of strategic accounts. In addition, the firm has given Nicholas Carter , PhD—vice president of training for Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Solar Staffing —a $300 gas card?for successfully taking the online Protection Intelligence Quotient quiz.

Ruskin —a company that manufacturers HVAC products—has promoted Dan Rellihan to director of marketing. Rellihan is a 24-year industry veteran who has been with the company since January 1994.

Nashville-based engineering design/consulting firm Smith Seckman Reid has appointed five people to serve in its new Kansas City, Mo., office: Darren Harvey , vice-president, principal-in-charge; Todd Moore , senior project manager and senior electrical engineer; Jeffery Miller , project manager and electrical engineer; Adam Zorn , project manager and electrical engineer; and Ronald Swopes , electrical designer.

Michelangelo Neri has been named division country director in the United Arab Emirates for Thales , a mission-critical systems provider.
