Large-diameter PP-R pipe
Aquatherm's PP-R pipe has been extended to Greenpipe lines up to 18 in. diameter and Climatherm lines up to 24 in. diameter
Aquatherm Inc.’s polypropylene-random (PP-R) pipe has been extended to Greenpipe lines up to 18 in. diameter, and the Climatherm lines up to 24 in. diameter. Designed for HVAC applications, Aquatherm Climatherm SDR 17.6 is now available in sizes ranging from 6- to 24-in. diameter, and Greenpipe, which is specifically engineered for potable water, is available in SDR 11 from ½- to 18-in. diameter. SDR refers to standard dimension ratio, which is the ratio of pipe-diameter-to-wall-thickness, and these larger pipe offerings have reduced SDRs in order to keep weight and costs down. Aquatherm PP-R pipe systems are connected via heat fusion – which turns the pipe and fitting into a single material – creating monolithic connections that last a lifetime and eliminating toxic materials, glues and resins, and open flames from piping installations.
