Integrated rack PDU and management solution
Marriage of Avocent DSView 3, Liebert MPX and MPH Rack PDU’s Enables Expanded Data Center Remote Access, Management, and Infrastructure Control.
With dense servers drawing more power than ever, and racks being packed with complex and sensitive gear, data center managers need to assure maximum computing performance and systems availability—while optimizing rack load capacity and energy savings. Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, has announced the first integrated offering from its Avocent and Liebert businesses, bringing infrastructure visibility and management to the rack equipment level.
The Avocent DSView 3 and the Avocent Power Manager plug-in now support the Liebert MPX and Liebert MPH rack PDU product lines, delivering real-time monitoring, metering, alarms, notifications, and management capabilities.
Avocent DSView 3 management software enables secure, out-of-band, centralized management of all connected IT and network devices in today’s often complex and geographically dispersed data centers. Avocent Power Manager software adds power monitoring capability to the access and control functions of Avocent DSView 3 software. The addition of Avocent Power Manager gives companies the ability to monitor and measure IT energy consumption, and determine costs and trends across all levels within their data centers and remote locations.
