Eaton Corp., Pittsburgh, has acquired MGE Office Protection Systems from Schneider Electric. MGE Office Protection was the small systems business of MGE.

Emerson Climate Technologies, St. Louis, announced the approach of the 20th anniversary of the company’s Copeland Scroll compressors on Nov. 14, 2007.

E-Mon, Langhorne, Pa., maker of electric submetering equipment, announced a reseller agreement with Richmond, Va.-based Tridium, Inc., a provider of device-to-enterprise application software and Internet-based solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, E-Mon will focus on the development of a full suite of building automation products for the systems integrator market using Tridium’s hardware and software platform.

Extech Instruments, Waltham, Mass., a supplier of test and measurement equipment, announced that the company’s president and owner, Jerry Blakeley, has entered into an agreement in which the stock of Extech will be acquired by FLIR Systems, which designs and manufactures thermal imaging and stabilized camera systems.

Fluke Corporation, Everett, Wash., announced that it will donate two of its high-performance Fluke 289 true-rms industrial logging multimeters with TrendCapture to each of ten qualifying educational institutions through a new Fluke Education Grant Program.

Generac Power Systems, Waukesha, Wis., announced that after 31 years of service, William Treffert has decided to retire from his position as the company’s chief executive officer. He will stay on to assist the company during the transition period.

Johnson Controls, Milwaukee, announced the acquisition of The Capital Group, a mechanical services company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario.
