Emerson Climate Technologies , St. Louis, has launched a website specifically designed for the Middle East and Africa. website provides contractors and customers in the region with a single online destination for Emerson Climate Technologies product and services information. The site includes information from a variety of the company’s divisions, including Copeland, Emerson Climate Technologies Flow Controls (formerly Alco), HVACR Motors, White-Rodgers, Computer Process Controls and Therm-O-Disc.

McQuay , Minneapolis, Minn., recently commemorated the 50thanniversary of continuous production of air-conditioning products at its factory in Staunton, Va. More than 400 people are employed in the production of chiller products at the 500,000-sq.-ft. facility, which opened in Oct. 1954 as the Westinghouse Air Conditioning Division.

NIBCO , Allentown, Pa., has announced a joint venture with Easton, Pa.-based Victaulic to offer faster, profitable small-diameter pipe joining solutions for the North American market. Company officials claim that the new joint venture will change the way copper is joined on commercial, residential and industrial jobs by using new push-to-connect joining system.

Penn Ventilation , Dallas, Texas, and Barry Blower , Lebanon, Ind., plans to announce their merger on Feb. 7 at this year’s ASHRAE winter meeting. The new company, called PennBarry , officially launches March 1 and will be headquartered in Richardson, Texas. The merger will include the holdings of Bayley Fans and Industrial Air manufacturers of specialized air handling equipment.

RectorSeal , Houston, Texas, has acquired Boise, Idaho-based Smoke Guard Corporation . Smoke Guard manufactures a patented, code-compliant smoke and draft control assembly that protects elevator shafts against vertical smoke migration. The company will continue to operate in Boise as a division of RectorSeal.

• The Whalen Company , Easton, Md. is expanding its facility by 25,000 sq. ft., with anticipated completion in the spring. The expansion will accommodate continued growth of the company’s wholly owned Outside Air Solutions division. Outside Air Solutions manufactures design-specific units for buildings with indoor air quality issues.
