Courtesy: Cooney Coil and EnergyThe Cooney Freeze Block Coil is designed to protect against freeze damage to fluid and steam HVAC coils. They are also designed to reduce maintenance, downtime, and premature coil failure. The Freeze Block Coils are designed with built in pressure and temperature valves to automatically discharge a small volume of water and reset when exposed to freezing conditions. The coils are pre-assembled and tested and the valves are designed to reseat after discharging to prevent flooding after the coil thaws.
