ESD promotes five to VP

ESD has promoted James Dipping, Josh Gepner, Brett Griffin, Jason McCargo, and Kyle Woodward to vice president.

ESD (Environmental Systems Design Inc.) has promoted James Dipping, Josh Gepner, Brett Griffin, Jason McCargo, and Kyle Woodward to vice president. 

Since joining ESD in 2009, Mr. Dipping has delivered superior service and developed relationships with key clients in the health, science, education, and mission critical markets. He is a trusted advisor for and coordinates the plumbing-related staff for all plumbing projects throughout the company. He is also a frequent participant in industry activities, publishing articles as well as conducting webinars and presentations through the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). Mr. Dipping is a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois, a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD), a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C), and an American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association Accredited Professional (ARCSA AP). He has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago.

Mr. Gepner joined ESD in 2009 with a background in designing electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. He specializes in commissioning projects for mission critical facilities and is a demonstrated leader across all other market sectors. A Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois, LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP O+M), and Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP), Mr. Gepner has a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Boston University.

Since his arrival at ESD in 2006, Mr. Griffin has been a key member of the firm’s Mission Critical Facilities Group as a mechanical engineer and project manager. His experience extends across design and commissioning services, from small tenant projects to large data centers and campuses. Mr. Griffin is a Professional Engineer in the State of California and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He was recognized in 2013 by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine as a 40 Under 40 winner. Mr. Griffin has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mr. McCargo has been a key member of ESD’s Workplace Solutions team since 2006. As a project manager and advisor, he works closely with contractors to develop integrated solutions for clients while supporting the professional growth of his teammates. He is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with a bachelor of science in industrial design from Appalachian State University.

Ms. Woodward joined ESD in 2013 as Director of Human Resources. She manages a team dedicated to the firm’s key employee cornerstones such as talent acquisition, career development and advancement, and employee benefits and wellness. She has a bachelor of arts in cultural anthropology and sociology, along with a certification in social work from St. Mary’s College and post-MBA certification from the University of Chicago Graham School.
