Energy-harvesting solar displacement unit

The Titus Plexicon uses a wireless, energy-harvesting process to power the unit to heat, cool, and use solar energy as its power source.

Titus HVAC has expanded the Titus Plexicon line of displacement ventilation systems to include solar capabilities. The Titus solar Plexicon uses a wireless, energy-harvesting process to power the unit. It is the only displacement unit in the industry to heat as well as cool, and use solar energy as its power source. The solar Plexicon uses a wireless, energy-harvesting platform to power the auto-changeover action when changing to the cooling or heating mode. Other benefits include eliminating the need to design and integrate a secondary system for the heating requirement, which saves time and energy during the planning and design phase. In addition, building owners reduce costs by eliminating the secondary system and contractors can reduce the cost and time required to install a secondary air delivery system that includes additional ductwork, diffusers, and controls. The solar Plexicon is designed to operate with all types of HVAC systems in the market including single duct, dual duct, fan-powered, DX, and others.
