Challenges

The project was a historical renovation that was seeking LEED Gold certification.

Solutions

An energy model was created to simulate the performance of the envelope, HVAC systems, and lighting control systems to optimize the system selection process and minimize the energy consumption of the building. System selections included considerations for the historical nature of the building to minimize aesthetic changes.
