Dewberry's Joarder becomes department manager

Dewberry announces its new department manager for MEP services in its New York City office.

Dewberry has announced that Shahidul H. Joarder, PE, was promoted to department manager of MEP services in the New York City office. In his new position, Joarder will manage daily operations of the MEP department.

Joarder has been with Dewberry since 2008. He has more than 30 years of experience in electrical light and power systems, fire alarm systems, public address systems, clock systems, telephone systems, intercom systems, access control systems, master antenna cable TV systems, and intrusion detection alarm systems. Additional expertise includes electrical systems for subways, tunnels, bridges, highways, and toll plazas; as well as commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. His background includes wide-ranging design experience in facilities for government, education, and healthcare, as well as highways and intersections, bridges, tunnel, and transit facilities.

Joarder holds a Master of Science degree in engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York and New Jersey and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
