Design system design software upgraded

The Taco FloPro Designer upgraded graphic interface quickly provides the user with a detailed heat loss analysis and has an OEM boiler selection function.

03/01/2012

The Taco FloPro Designer upgraded graphic interface quickly provides the user with a detailed heat loss analysis, the layout near boiler and system piping, the ability to size and select all the components, and to develop a materials list. Among other upgrades, FloPro Designer now includes an OEM boiler selection function. After designing a hydronic system, the auto-select function picks the best boiler to meet system requirements. Users also can design a system around their boiler of choice, using the boiler as a starting point. Entire product lines from 12 boiler manufacturers are on FloPro Designer, with more coming soon. The program now allows for placement of virtual walls and for interior and exterior walls to be edited independently. Total heating and cooling loads are now conveniently displayed at the bottom of the screen, updating automatically when new components are added. The ability to now calculate under-slab insulation and floor insulation with unheated basement or crawl spaces makes for more accurate heat loss calculations.
