Construction Industry Coalition Council Convenes Forum on Risk Management
The Construction Industry Coalition Council (CICC) will convene the third session in its three-part 2005 Fora Series on Risk Management.
To be held on Tuesday morning, Nov. 15, the forum will address Innovations in Building Reliability . Topics include non-traditional fire suppression systems, performance-based earthquake engineering and building security standards for occupant survivability.
Earlier in the year, the first of the trilogy focused on Reducing Risks: Materials- volatility, evaluations of barriers, international trade, pricing, substitution . The second session addressed Construction Safety, focusing on construction accidents and worker injuries, improved design construction process, owner control/responsibilities, insurance and legislation. The CICC Fora Series address owner and developer issues, followed by an open discussion among attending organizations on how to further address and resolve these issues.
The meetings are scheduled at The Surety Association of America, 1101 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Suite 800, Washington, D.C., from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. There is no charge to attend this event, but please reply via e-mail to email@example.com if you or colleagues plan to attend so we may register you. This meeting is by invitation only to a select group of 50 organizations that the Construction Industry Coalition Council felt shared an interest in owner/developer issues. Due to limited space of 50 seats, we ask each organization send no more than two persons. Registration is by a first come-first registered basis. We will cut-off our registration when we reach the 50-person limit.
