CannonDesign, along with Uniland Development and Delaware North Companies, was selected to redevelop the vacant portion of the Rainbow Centre Mall in Niagara Falls, NY. The site comprises a full city block in a prominent area in the downtown area. The proposed development is a 375,000sf mixed use resort and entertainment destination, anchored by a 70,000sf waterpark and a 190,000sf, 308 room hotel.

Currently, one-third of the area is back in use with Niagara Community College’s Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. The 85,000 sf project harnesses the building’s 85-foot-tall atrium as a gathering space showcasing the Institute’s educational, production and service capabilities to students and visitors.

The redevelopment is poised to spur economic development in Niagara Falls and will help shape the surrounding area for future success.
