Builders Go For Solar Power

BUILDER magazine, noted in its October issue that many of the nation's biggest builders were now incorporating solar energy into their offerings. "In recent months, some of the biggest builders in the country —U.S. Home, Morrison Home, Shea, Beazer, D.R. Horton, and others—have suddenly, unexpectedly, become sun worshippers," the magazine reports.

BUILDER magazine, noted in its October issue that many of the nation’s biggest builders were now incorporating solar energy into their offerings. “In recent months, some of the biggest builders in the country —U.S. Home, Morrison Home, Shea, Beazer, D.R. Horton, and others—have suddenly, unexpectedly, become sun worshippers,” the magazine reports.

What happened? According to BUILDER, “parties from both industries [solar and homebuilding] “identified the new-home builder as the key player in any effort to push photovoltaics into the mainstream.”
