Affiliated Engineers has received a U.S. Green Building Council LEED version 2.0 certification for its headquarters in Madison, Wis. Winner of a 2003 CSE ARC Award, it is one of three office buildings in the state to attain this status and the first in the city of Madison.
Emerging photovoltaic markets will be the topic of a study funded by the Electrical Contracting Foundation, Bethesda, Md. The research project will estimate the size of the PV market, recommend strategies for electrical contractors to enter this business and define best practices for installing PV systems.
