  • A/E firm Dewberry announced that it plans to establish an office in Baton Rouge, La. to provide support for the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort. Chris S. Davis, currently the firm's marketing and sales director, will set up and direct office operations, as well as coordinate local staff supporting FEMA.

  • BE Careers Network, part of Bentley Systems, Inc., now offers its MicroStation PowerDraft CAD software free to students and instructors in nine languages: simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Korean and Spanish.

  • A study conducted by Systimax Solutions found that 72% of IT technicians would select Category 6 or 10GB/sec. augmented Category 6 copper cabling for a new network installation.
