C&L Refrigeration, a provider of maintenance services, engineering services, and construction services to the commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration industry, recently announced the completion of its new breakthrough systems for cold storage and green refrigeration solutions.

For more than 30 years C&L has helped clients like Farmer John, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Golden State Foods, Miller Brewing Co., and Helen Grace Chocolates with air conditioning and industrial refrigeration needs and in meeting EPA, AQMD, and OSHA compliance standards.

C&L Refrigeration was called in as part of a 10-person design team and more than 40 subcontractors to address and resolve the commercial refrigeration challenges present in creating a LEED-compliant, solar-powered, energy-efficient cold storage facility.

The 134,511-sq-ft cold storage building for Innovative Cold Storage Enterprises Inc. (ICE) is a unique industrial refrigeration project because it’s ground-breaking in design, solar-powered, and expected to cut energy costs by 75%. It is on track to attain the highly coveted gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program.
