BIM pipe objects

The Lubrizol Corp.’s FlowGuard Gold and Corzan pipe and fittings are now detailed as building information modeling (BIM) objects. FBC Building Solutions has adapted the BIM objects for its FlowGuard Gold and Corzan pipe and fittings to be downloaded through the Autodesk Seek search engine (a Web-based search engine compatible with Autodesk Revit software). The FlowGuard Gold and Corzan BIM objects can also be downloaded through the McGraw-Hill Sweets Network, a marketing platform specifically for construction products. FlowGuard Gold pipe and fittings are available in ½- to 2-in. CTS diameters. Corzan pipe and fittings are available in ½- to 8-in. IPS diameters. By creating BIM objects for FlowGuard Gold and Corzan pipe and fittings, FBC Building Solutions is providing architects and engineers with alternatives to the generic BIM plumbing objects currently available.
