Rig-A-Lite has announced the completion of BIM (building information modeling) files for its entire product catalog. This file type allows architects, engineers, and lighting designers to work in Revit or other 3-D modeling software when specifying hazardous location, explosion proof, marine rated and heavy hose down rated lighting fixtures, offering a more realistic representation of what the end user will see when their luminaries are specified and installed. The rendering engine allows the designer to present a virtual walkthrough of the designed space prior to the start of construction.
