The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) 2013 Technical Symposium will be held Sept. 19 to 22, 2013, in Orlando, Fla.

May 22, 2013

The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) has announced that registration is open for its Technical Symposium, which is being held in Orlando, Fla., Sept. 19 to 22, 2013.

The technical education program is divided into five tracks to help attendees customize their training. Those tracks are Plumbing System Design 101, Sustainable Design, Healthcare Design, Advanced Plumbing Design, and BIM (Building Information Modeling). All sessions offer continuing education units (CEUs), and attendees can earn 15 hours of credit by attending the entire event.

Before the Symposium, on Sept. 18 and 19, ASPE and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) are hosting the Green Plumbing Design (GPD) workshop and exam. After the Symposium, on Sunday, Sept. 22, the Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) exam will be offered. Those who register for the 2013 Technical Symposium and either the GPD workshop or the CPD exam will receive 25% off the workshop or exam registration fee.

In addition to the education program, special events will be held to help attendees network and learn about new developments in plumbing system design. The 2013 ASPE Technical Symposium kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 19, with the evening Product Show, a comfortable venue where attendees can chat with product engineers and manufacturer reps, as well as representatives of other industry organizations, to discover new products, technologies, and initiatives. Roundtable discussions will be held during lunch on Friday, Sept. 20. Attendees also can participate in a tour of the Walt Disney World laundry facility.
