It’s time once again to submit entries for CSE’s annual “Perfect 10” Product of the Year award. The entry form is now available on our website at www.csemag.com and all submissions must be received by April 13, 5:00 p.m. central time (no exceptions).

Readers might want to let their manufacturing contacts know about this competition. If you have seen new equipment or systems during the past year that you feel are worthy, let your suppliers know.

CSE Product of the Year is actually a two-part contest. In the first part, CSE editors select and supervise a panel of industry experts, drawn exclusively from the M/E/P consulting engineering community. While the judging is coordinated by the CSE editorial staff, the independent judges make all the decisions—and all decisions are final.

Once the judging panel has made its picks for a group of finalists in each of CSE’s area of coverage—HVAC, controls and building automation, plumbing, fire protection, communications and security, electrical, power systems, and lighting—it’s time for the second round. A brief description of each finalists’ product is published in CSE’s Specifiers Guide in June 2007. All CSE readers may go online and vote for the winners in each category. Finally, the winners are announced in the November issue. A grand award is presented for the product receiving the highest total number of votes. First, second, and third-place awards are presented for products receiving the most votes in each of the product categories.
