Salama joined STV in 2012. She is a project controls specialist with expertise in developing BIM applications and is responsible for the implementation of the firm's BIM 456 initiative, which increases the efficiency and productivity of project control activities. As the BIM and assistant project controls manager for the firm, she has contributed to the success of several large-scale and challenging projects. She is currently collaborating on one of the most ambitious projects in the New York area with the $4 billion redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport. The project calls for overseeing multiple design-build contractors in increasing capacity and improving the aesthetics, amenities, and efficiency of the terminal, airside, and landside components of the facility. Salama also has helped bring clean drinking water to a village in Kenya through Engineers Without Borders. Through the Explorer Scouts Program, she also serves as a role model for young middle school students, particularly girls, interested in pursuing a career in engineering. She has also been involved with STV's team working with middle and high school students as part of the ACE Mentoring Program in New York schools. Salama generally likes to explore new things, which frequently requires travel. In 2015, she traveled to Puerto Rico, South Africa, and her annual trip to visit her family home in Egypt. To learn new things, she participates in a book club, takes French classes, and learns new skills in online technology-related courses. Whether during the week or on weekends, she likes to partake in the abundant array of dining options available in New York and is always looking to try new restaurants.
