Although his company is physically located in Spring, Texas, Griswold runs a U.S. team working and living in the Middle East. He moved there to lead the team and to better understand the requirements of the job, clients, and local culture. He is responsible for business and client development tasks related to fire and life safety systems throughout Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The commissioning and design review services he provides for fire and life safety systems include fire suppression, fire detection, specialty suppression, clean agent, air sampling, and smoke control systems. Griswold has quickly climbed the ranks within Martech Fire Solutions. He started as a consultant, moved to deputy manager, and is now general manager of the company and second in command. During the 8 years since earning his degree, his career trajectory has included fire and life safety system consultation, inspection, testing, design, and troubleshooting. And throughout this time, both clients and coworkers attest to his strong communication skills and his ability to relate to them and their needs. Griswold is the founder and head of an annual event held to raise funds for cancer research. The event, held in Fremont, Wis., was created to bring in donations for the American Association for Cancer Research. In 2014, the event brought in $10,000. He enjoys boating on the weekends, touring the country on his Triumph motorcycle, and snowboarding. He travels home to Wisconsin several times a year to visit his family, and to Colorado to spend time with his friends.
