Since graduating from Kansas State University just 7 years ago, Nathan Boepple’s career has flourished at ccrd’s Dallas office where he leads a team of electrical engineers in tackling complex health care projects. He has significant experience with low-voltage electrical design as well as interdisciplinary coordination between the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design team; the architect; and other consultants. In addition, Boepple has designed, constructed, and administered projects ranging from single-invasive MRI operating room suites to 500,000-sq-ft hospital additions. Most recently, he led the addition of a 120,000-sq-ft operating room and an invasive-radiology expansion for the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Boepple was invited to speak at the ASHE 2011 International Conference and Exhibition on health-facility planning design and construction as an expert in the health care construction arena. Beyond this specialization, Boepple has designed higher education buildings that include teaching labs for optometry and dentistry, general classrooms, and lecture halls. He spreads his interest in the field by mentoring high school students through the ACE Mentor Program. When Boepple isn’t working, he and his wife, Lauren, help organize and run a Sunday church service that supports a Dallas school in an underprivileged neighborhood by beautifying the school’s landscape and playground area.
