Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. has released the UL 1449 third edition recognized 1000 Vdc surge protection device (SPD). The DIN rail mountable, pluggable module has a maximum discharge current (8/20) 50 kA. The nominal discharge current (8/20) is 20 kA. The SPD uses MOV technology with high-energy thermal protection to provide reliable surge protection. It is designed to extinguish the arc internally to give a quick thermal response and device cut-off.
