Yaskawa Bestact dustproof and flood-tight proximity switches offer industry-compatible mounting capability with IP52-IP68 (~NEMA 2-6) enclosure ratings. Yaskawa Bestact dustproof and flood-tight proximity switches offer industry-compatible mounting capability with IP52-IP68 (~NEMA 2-6) enclosure ratings. These switches use Yaskawa Bestact logic and inductive rated (0.5 & 0.125 hp) reed switches. General locations up to 510 °F (265 °C) and sensing distances up to 4.33-in. (110 mm) are possible. They do not need a dc power supply or snubber/varistor protective devices and do not employ complex amplifying circuitry that is needed for photoelectric or inductive proximity switches. They are ideal for corrosive, dirty, extreme temperature and gaseous Class I, Division 2 hazardous location environments where failure is not tolerated and reduced maintenance costs are of the utmost importance. Two-line wiring and latching capability are other features that are offered.
