Abstract: Building energy modeling is increasingly required by rating systems and codes, but variations in the application of modeling software can produce uneven results and skepticism. This session-augmented by brief case studies showing how energy modeling affected design decisions-will review various energy modeling tools, their strengths and weaknesses for different modeling needs, and what is coming soon.
