The 6th Annual Emerald Gala hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council - Illinois Chapter will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Soldier Field United Club in Chicago.
The 6th Annual Emerald Gala hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) - Illinois Chapter will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Soldier Field United Club in Chicago.
The Emerald Gala is the USGBC - Illinois Chapter's premiere black tie fundraising event that supports the Chapter's more than 150 annual programs, events, and initiatives. The Gala is also an opportunity to recognize leadership in Illinois' green building community with the annual presentation of the Natural Leaders Awards.
Over 500 corporate and government leaders are expected to attend the Emerald Gala this year to celebrate the Chapter's achievements and support our continued work, according to the USGBC - Illinois Chapter. Attendance at the event supports the 2011 Chapter Education and Advocacy Initiatives, which include Green and Healthy Schools, Affordable Green Homes, and Jobs for the Green Economy.
