Vallort receives ASHRAE Fellow award

James Vallort, a senior VP at ESD, received the ASHRAE Fellow Award at the society’s Winter Conference in New York.

James Vallort, Senior Vice President and Group Leader of Controls, Energy + Eco, and Commissioning at ESD (Environmental Systems Design Inc.), was presented with the ASHRAE Fellow Award at the society’s Winter Conference in New York.

Vallort joins the 260 members currently in ASHRAE’s College of Fellows as an ASHRAE member recognized for his distinction in, “The fields of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or the allied arts and sciences through invention, research, teaching, design, original work, or as an engineering executive on projects of unusual or important scope.”

Vallort has more than 20 years of engineering experience and has achieved excellence in the fields of modeling, commissioning, controls, and mission critical facilities. He has been a member of the ASHRAE Illinois chapter since 1991 and was the director-at-large from 2005 to 2008.
