Syska Hennessy Group Inc. a global consulting, engineering, and commissioning firm, is underscoring its commitment to clients in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region by opening a permanent office in Dubai’s Internet City, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Syska Hennessy Group’s global presence is continuing to expand with the formation of Syska Hennessy Group MENA. The new entity is the result of a joint venture between SH Group Inc., the parent company of Syska Hennessy Group and LZ Technologies Middle East FZ-LLC. The new company will be led by Greg Jasmin, a vice president of Syska Hennessy Group, and Bassem Hariri, of LZ Technologies Middle East FZ-LLC. Mr. Jasmin will serve as co-managing director of the firm’s Dubai office, overseeing operations and assuming technical leadership of the enterprise, while Mr. Hariri, also co-managing director, will oversee client relations and business development.

Syska Hennessy Group has enjoyed long term success in the region with signature projects throughout Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. Jasmin commented, “Syska has been active in the Middle East for more than 30 years but we’ve never had a permanent presence. Now we both live and work here elevating our commitment to this strategic region. Being in the region will certainly help Syska Hennessy broaden its array of platinum-level clients, as these clients seek out the experience and technical expertise that we bring from the U.S. to help solve the challenges these clients face in building exceptional buildings.”

LZ Technologies has provided total mission-critical and data center solutions for clients in the MENA region by bringing their worldwide expertise to major clients who demand the highest engineering and operational requirements and no tolerance for systems and equipment failure.

“We have been working extensively with Syska for some time now, and this partnership is a direct result of our sharp growth over the last couple years having won large mission critical projects across the MENA region”, stated Bassem Hariri. “This partnership is key for our continued future growth, as it will strengthen our service offerings and commitment to our clients, and bring exceptional local engineering services to major growing sectors throughout the MENA region, especially the banking, telecom, oil & gas, healthcare, aviation, public, and education sectors.”

With the two firms now united in this region working through Syska Hennessy Group MENA, they have the capability to provide world-class mission critical support and an exceptional level of knowledge in Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Intelligent Building Systems (IBS) for projects related to critical facilities/data centers, iconic high rise buildings, mixed use developments, healthcare, aviation, and higher education institutions.

“Syska Hennessy Group has been creating exceptional environments in the Middle East for decades,” stated Cyrus Izzo, Co-President of Syska Hennessy Group. “We are truly excited to have had so many opportunities to collaborate with our clients on distinctive and exceptional projects,” he continued, “and opening an office in Dubai was a natural progression in our involvement and commitment to the region.”

“With so many iconic projects under way in the MENA region,” added Gary Brennen, Co-President of Syska Hennessy Group, “we are energized by the demands to flex our brain power and our collaborative DNA and combine that with the latest in technical advancements and innovations – that’s how we can achieve high performance solutions for the built environment”.

“This joint venture is a natural extension of the successful relation we have with Syska and it will add a great value to our customers by having a world leading company providing state of the art services and local support at their door steps,” said Sami Abi Esber, a member of the Board of LZ Technologies Middle East.
