CFE Media, NTMA to share knowledge in new content agreement

Association members and media company begin new content partnership

By CFE Media August 17, 2011

The National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) and CFE Media have entered into a content partnership agreement that will deliver the knowledge and insight of NTMA staff and members to the readers of Control Engineering and Plant Engineering magazines and their related Websites, and publicize NTMA professional development, networking and technical programs to CFE Media’s readers.

“NTMA has a 68 year track record of providing its members with the necessary tools to succeed in the custom precision manufacturing industry in the United States,” said Steve Rourke, managing partner of CFE Media. “NTMA offers a wide variety of tools to help manufacturers better manage their businesses. These tools range from educational resources to major seminars and events on a range of topics.

“We are excited to enter into this content partnership with CFE Media,” said NTMA President Dave Tilstone. “This is a great opportunity for NTMA to expand the availability of written materials produced by the association and its members, and to publicize the many great conferences and seminars that we host throughout the year.”

“For example,” continued Tilstone, “CFE and NTMA are cooperating on NTMA’s Contract Manufacturing Purchasing Fair, the premier event that connects domestic and foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with domestic manufacturers in Chicago on September 7-8.”

“Our readers will benefit by gaining access to NTMA-produced articles and presentations,” said Control Engineering content manager Mark T. Hoske. “This content partnership will bring NTMA’s expertise to our readers on a continuing basis through case studies, best practices, tips and tricks and even multimedia presentations.”

Working with NTMA professional staff, NTMA members will be able to suggest ideas and contribute articles to Plant Engineering and Control Engineering. That content will be shared with their combined print circulation of more than 125,000 and Website audiences of more than 100,000 unique viewers.

“There is a tremendous amount of expertise among NTMA members,” said Plant Engineering content manager Bob Vavra. “We want to deliver that expertise to our content users in whatever form they wish to receive it.”
