Autodesk has developed a new program that will give up to 100 companies nearly $150,000 each in software with the goal of advancing clean technologies, according to GreenBiz .

Unveiled at the Clean Tech Open Energy Symposium in San Francisco, the Clean Tech Partner Program assists companies who are creating energy efficient technologies in order to put their products on the market faster. By helping inventors with the entire process, from the creation, to the concept, to the actual engineering, software programs can help streamline their manufacturing operations and processes, said Lynelle Cameron, director of sustainability for Autodesk.

"We are looking for some of the best and most exciting ideas that we think can be transformative in the marketplace," said Cameron. "These are the [companies] that we want to partner with and learn from in future releases of our products."
