UVC devices kill microbes in HVAC ducts including anthrax and other bacteria. The devices also keep coils and drain pans clean, greatly reducing requirements for maintaining coil-heat exchange efficiency for energy savings. The 36-in. and 42-in. tubes are applicable to commercial, industrial, heath-care and food-processing. (UVC Emitters by Steril-Aire , Booth 4155)

Air modulating unit uses variable-speed air control and a state-of-the-art gas train. The unit communicates through Modbus, and can tie into a remote DDC without the use of a modem. (Evolution by Thermal Solutions, Booth 3638)

Static pressure probe is designed with a baffle at the tip, minimizing any velocity pressure errors. Additionally, the probe features a gasket to seal against the duct, preventing leakage. (Model 267 by Setra Systems, Booth 4545)

Modular air-purifying cell maintains over 90% efficiency at ASHRAE 52.1 over the lifetime of an AC system and filters airborne particles down to 0.01 microns. This purifier can reduce electrical consumption by demanding up to 50% less fan motor horsepower, and can easily be retrofitted into most common commercial HVAC systems. Protocol translator enables building-system components using foreign protocols to communicate with a larger network. It can make integration more reliable as a system grows . (Model FS-B2011 by FieldServer, Booth 4572)

Heat-recovery ventilator is designed to condition outside air without mechanical refrigeration in relatively hot and arid climates. The units incorporate a sensible energy-recovery wheel and evaporative cooling modules. It is best suited for commercial and institutional applications. Available in four sizes, providing airflow capacities of 1,000 to 10,000 cfm, with external static pressures up to 1.5 in. wg. Air-handling units are indirect-fired, electric or hydronic, with capacity reaching 1,200 to 16,000 MBh. These packaged units can be assembled with direct-exchange or chilled-water coils, evaporative cooling and a fresh-air/return-air mixing box. Air-handling units include standard IAQ drain pans; full-height-and-width diffusers, 14- and 16-gauge exterior walls; and welded floor. AHU controller has the ability to adapt to several AHU configurations, either as an independent control unit or as part of a larger energy-management system. Because of an internal clock and RS-232 access port, the unit's temperature setpoints and time-of-day schedules can be directly programmed. (Hawki Advanced by Novar Controls, Booth 4349)

Adjustable frequency drive features a direct serial communication standard, allowing the user to remotely monitor and control the drive and the fan or pump that is connected to a broad array of readouts which can be changed or observed remotely. Crimped pipe and tank wrap insulates vessels or large-diameter pipes for temperatures ranging from 35° to 850°F. Crimp technology provides the thermal and compressible properties found in rigid fiberglass board, while remaining flexible enough to wrap pipes spanning a wide range of sizes.
