Jacquelyn Tookmanian is an up-and-coming professional who has been involved with One World Trade Center for most of her career. She is an assistant project manager at One World Trade Center for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s (PANYNJ) owner’s representative contract. Tookmanian served as the liaison between Tishman Construction, the construction manager, and PANYNJ, overseeing the procurement of the construction trade contracts for about $1 billion of the $1.9 billion total. She demonstrated leadership during the procurement of the electromagnetic shielding construction trade contract for the project, working with an engineer to develop an alternate way to achieve the project’s goals in a safer and more cost-effective manner. Currently, she is responsible for managing the budgets and payments for all structural trades at One World Trade Center. She is also dedicated to sharing her knowledge and experience by giving educational tours of One World Trade Center to students, a project that launched her career. On a professional development level, Tookmanian serves as current chair of the Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT) National Committee for the Construction Management Assn. of America (CMAA) board of directors. In her spare time, Tookmanian is a dance instructor. At the age of three, she began her classical tap, ballet, and jazz dance training and continues to be involved in dance by teaching a competition team in Wayne, N.J., every Saturday.
