International design, consulting, engineering, and management services firm ARCADIS (Arnhem, Netherlands) announced it has acquired Geohidrologia Consultores (GeoHidrologia)(Santiago, Chile), a 55-person hydrogeological consulting company to the government, private and especially mining sectors and featuring services related to groundwater resources and groundwater modeling, surface hydrology, environmental and hydraulic engineering. Civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture and environmental services firm Loucks Associates (Maple Grove, MN) acquired landscape architecture and planning firm Sanders Wacker Bergly (SWB) (St. Paul, MN). The combined firm will feature 40 employees and will maintain offices in both Maple Grove and St. Paul. Link to details

Multi-national design and engineering consultancy Hyder Consulting (London, United Kingdom) acquired BCH Engineering Consultants (Perth, Australia), a 17-person specialist provider of structural and marine engineering services in the oil and gas and natural resources sectors. Moving forward, the firm will be marketed and known as BCH Hyder, but will continue to operate as BCH Engineering Consultants, as part of the Hyder Consulting group of companies. Additionally, Hyder Consulting also announced that it acquired Power Systems Project & Consultancy Services (PCS) (East Kilbride, Scotland), a 42-person electrical engineering consultancy and specialist provider of independent high voltage simulation, analysis and electrical design. International service corporation focused on consulting, testing and certification TUV SUD Rail (Munich, Germany) acquired the European Transportation Systems division (TNS) of energy and sustainability consulting, testing and certification firm DNV KEMA (Arnhem, the Netherlands). DNV KEMA TNS Europe features 60 employees and is headquartered in Dresden, Germany. Link to details
