STV names Perise VP

James Perise has been named the vice president of STV. He will be responsible for the plumbing and fire protection practice throughout the firm's Buildings and Facilities Division.

James Perise, PE, LEED AP BD+C, has joined STV as vice president and chief plumbing and fire protection engineer with the firm's national Buildings and Facilities (B+F) Division. 

In this role, Perise is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plumbing and fire protection practice throughout the B&F division. He brings to the firm many years of experience in design and project management for advanced plumbing, fire protection and mechanical systems. 

Perise's expertise covers all aspects of design, code analysis, system selection, life safety systems review, and construction-phase services for educational, governmental, commercial, residential, and mixed-use facilities in the United States and overseas. He has served as lead plumbing and fire protection engineer on higher education projects including Yale University School of Art and Drama, and Syracuse University Whitman School of Management, as well as on various projects for government clients such as the General Services Administration, Architect of the Capitol and the International Monetary Fund, and the Borough of Queens. 

Perise graduated with honors from Stevens Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree. A registered professional engineer and LEED accredited professional, he is a member of the New York City Green Codes Taskforce and an active member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers.
