Moore admitted to ASPE College of Fellows

Ray W. Moore, P.E., CPD, CGD, LEED AP, FASPE, principal mechanical and plumbing engineer, was inducted into the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Kenneth G. Wentink College of Fellows.

Spectrum Engineers is pleased to announce Ray W. Moore, P.E., CPD, CGD, LEED AP, FASPE, principal mechanical and plumbing engineer, was inducted into the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Kenneth G. Wentink College of Fellows.

This is a lifetime honor for Moore, who has been bestowed the right to use the designation FASPE as well as all the honors and privileges as a member of the College of Fellows. The Fellows program recognizes ASPE members with an established reputation who have made significant, sustained contributions to the plumbing engineering and design profession, ASPE and/or the plumbing industry.

Founded in 1964 with more than 7,000 members worldwide, ASPE represents a network of professionals skilled in the design, specification, inspection and manufacture of plumbing systems. According to the organization’s website, “ASPE is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, to the professional growth and advancement of its members, and to the health, welfare, and safety of the public.”

Mr. Ray W. Moore, P.E, CPD, CGD, LEED AP, FASPE, principal mechanical and plumbing engineer with Spectrum Engineers, offers clients 40 years of engineering and design experience. He is a professional engineer (P.E.) licensed to practice mechanical engineering in Utah and seven other states and has earned several other certifications. He holds a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) credential from ASPE. He is also a Certified GeoExchange Designer (CGD) by the AEE and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

His interests in mechanical and plumbing engineering stretch beyond designing these systems for high-profile and complex projects, taking him into the classroom where he has been able to share his expertise and experience with others. An active member of several professional organizations, Mr. Moore has served as the Vice President Legislative for ASPE and has been recognized many times by professional organizations for his contributions to their goals. He has taught numerous seminars on plumbing and mechanical-related topics since 1996. He has also been named Committee Chair of the International Code Council (ICC) International Plumbing Code Committee (IPC) for the 2009/2010 Code Development Cycle. His term is effective July 1, 2009 through December 31, 2011.

Established in 1982 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, with an office in Tempe, Ariz., the multi-discipline Spectrum Engineers is focused on client-centric, integrated engineering services including mechanical, electrical, fire protection and acoustical engineering and technology, lighting and theatre design that provide clients with real-world facility solutions.
