Farmington Hills, Mich. —PnozPlus is a modular safety system designed for safety-related applications such as emergency stop/safety-gate monitoring, or connection to noncontact safety devices such as light curtains. PnozPlus is comprised of a master unit capable of attaching to as many as nine input expansion units. Its ability to interface with text display, the Pilz PX 20 DIA, allows diagnostic display of input status, circuit wiring, ground faults, and shorts between contacts and external voltages. Main bus systems, such as CANOpen and DeviceNet, as well as PLCs, can be connected to the PnozPlus system. Hardware and software for the system have been approved by BG and meet EN 954-1, category 4.
