The Foxboro Co. (Foxboro, Mass.) announced Feb. 7 an agreement with M3i Systems (Longueuil, Quebec, Canada), a provider of real-time operation management systems (ROMS), to resell, implement, and support all M3i products. Foxboro will include M3i's PragmaLine, PragmaCAD, and Mobile modules as complementary applications for its I/A Series SCADA technology platform.

  • Crossbow Technology Inc. (San Jose, Calif.), a developer of Bluetooth wireless sensor network architecture, and Cyrano Sciences Inc., which specializes in array-based chemical sensor technology, recently agreed to jointly develop a wireless leak detection system prototype.

  • Lineo Inc. (New York, N.Y.), a provider of embedded Linux systems, recently announced its acquisition of products and capabilities by merging with Embedded Power Corp. (Houston, Tex.), a provider real-time operating systems (RTOS) for digital signal processors (DSP) and microprocessors.

  • IndX Software Corp. (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) has announced availability of wireless support for its XHQ operations intelligence product. Enabled by using the XML (extensible markup language) industry standard, this support capability allows access to data from many systems in an enterprise via wireless devices such as PDAs and cellular telephones.
