Energy savings for cities
New ecomagination Treasure Hunt program to identify energy savings at partner sites.
In a press release from GE, the company announced that it will be collaborating with Environmental Defense Fund "to identify energy savings opportunities for partners."
Through the ecomagination Treasure Hunt program and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Hospital Challenge, New York City's Roosevelt Hospital served as the first site to demonstrate these energy and cost savings opportunities and the city of Orlando, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport, and University of Illinois will be the next initial partners.
Through this program and with the contribution of over 200 partners, GE has saved over $130 million.
