Telkonet's EcoCentral Virtual Engineer (VE) is a cloud-based energy management command center for building managers looking to save energy. EcoCentral Virtual Engineer communicates with Telkonet’s EcoSmart intelligent wireless thermostats, occupancy sensors, door and window contacts, outlets, and light switches. It forms a secure wireless mesh network that communicates information between rooms, floors, and buildings. This enables facility staff to control buildings, zones, rooms, or individual devices from the cloud in real time. EcoCentral VE also can visualize facility data points, which allow the user to view energy savings by floor or room. The EcoCentral VE facilities intelligent load-shed actions. It creates profiles that dictate how thermostats, outlets, and lights will respond to a demand response request. Scheduled "events" will switch devices to demand response profiles at the appropriate time. Other features include the ability to evaluate equipment performance and monitor total energy savings.
