Tucson, Ariz.— IFS and ABB Automation announced Feb. 5 plans to integrate and market solutions blending ABB's Industrial IT platform with IFS' business applications. IFS software components for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) will be integrated with process control solutions from ABB Automation.

Tucson, Ariz.— IFS and ABB Automation announced Feb. 5 plans to integrate and market solutions blending ABB's Industrial IT platform with IFS' business applications. IFS software components for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) will be integrated with process control solutions from ABB Automation. The resulting software solutions will provide customers with seamless, remote optimization of production and maintenance management, reducing reliance on physical equipment inspection and improving availability of plant assets. IFS and ABB have worked together on several projects. The new partnership will further promote cross training, common product development, and joint marketing and sales activities. ABB will act as a reseller of certain IFS Applications components globally.
