Scheduling for commissioning: Whether or you aware of this or not, TAB contractors hold the key to determining the most efficient manner to closeout a project. For a project with commissioning, scheduling the TAB activities is critical. Discussions on this subject provide attendees with the opportunity to efficiently schedule testing and balancing sequences and tie them to the contract. Methods of managing the HVAC system start-up process and utilization of existing NEBB tools will be discussed as well. Opportunities to illustrate with field examples and a question and answer session will be conducted.

MCAA change orders: Recently, MCAA released a major update to its highly-regarded and popular construction management publication, Change Orders, Productivity, Overtime – A Primer for the Construction Industry. In this 2011 update, MCAA completely rewrote segments of the book to address three critical subjects:

• How to Identify and Manage Change Orders
• How to Organize and submit a Claim
• How to Estimate the Impacts of Overtime on Labor Productivity
