Significant changes to Florida building codes

Florida will adopt the latest Florida Building Codes developed by the ICC on Oct. 1, 2008. 

The ICC will help the jurisdictions and organizations transition to the new codes with training seminars, discounted Florida-specific books, related reference materials, and membership opportunities. 

The significant changes to the 2007 Florida Codes include easy-to-use guides identify the significant changes that occurred between the 2004 and 2007 editions of the Florida and Residential Codes, each focuses on provisions that have special significance, are frequently used, or have had a change in application, and it provides a vital resources for building officials, architects, and designers.
