The Latin American market for packaged air conditioning unit, at $793 million in the year 2000, is expected to jump to more than $1 billion by the year 2004, according to a study conducted by BSRIA, a building services research group based in the United Kingdom. In another study, the group predicts that the market for central-plant air-conditioning equipment will grow from $172 million in 2000 to $227 million by 2004.
Project web sites are currently being utilized by less than half of U.S. design firms, but this number is growing, according to a recent study by Zweig, White & Associates, Natick, Mass.
