- New Hampshire has recently adopted two National Fire Protection Assn. safety codes: the 2003 edition of NFPA 1, Uniform Fire Code, and the 2000 edition of NFPA 101, Life Safety Code.

- Automated technologies company ABB will officially open a corporate research center at its industrial control system facility in Wickliffe, Ohio, near Cleveland.
